About the role

The Assistant Hospitality Sales Assistant Manager (AHSM) is a front-line manager of the site, responsible for all guest interaction and financial deliverables for the following:

  1. Creating and ensuring a safe environment for our employees and guests.
  2. Delivering exceptional and consistent guest service to the highest standard, adhering to “Every person treasured every time”.
  3. Delivery key sales metrics (including club conversion and net sales revenue).
  4. Understand and deliver cost controls, especially labor, COGS tours and tastings.
  5. Supporting the delivery of the budget across all targets.
  6. Training & coaching of team and cultivating a high-performance culture.

This role will have the following key responsibilities:

  1. Managing inventory of wine and non-wine merchandise across site, including wine and merchandise orders, wine club orders, shipment processes, inventory control and counts.
  2. Managing retail merchandise budget and driving the business to achieve the monthly goal, tracking and reporting on merchandise sales.
  3. Managing all write-off procedures and reporting.
  4. Managing operating systems and being the key Super User for the site.
  5. Responsible for Zero Harm Destination training and maintaining a strong health & safety culture, reporting and creating awareness of Zero Harm in the team.

The AHSM will lead and inspire the Stags’ Leap Hospitality Team to deliver an outstanding guest experience and be the consummate role model for the team.

About you

  • BS degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum 3 years in similar retail and or sales leadership role in hospitality industry.  Preferred experience as tasting room manager, hotel front desk manager or hotel shift manager.  (Wine industry specific background is ideal but not essential.
  • 2+ years experience in a supervisorial role.
  • Strong leadership skills and team player with the ability to coach others.
  • Knowledge of food and wine, the wine industry and competitive offerings, Napa and Bay Area hospitality market.
  • Proven track record leading others and delivering results against defined targets.
  • Working knowledge of winery POS systems, calendar programs, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong customer service and sales aptitude.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs (a case of wine).

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $65,000 to $74,000 per year plus quarterly bonus. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of Napa, CA. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
