Diploma Advisor (Part-Time to Potential Full-Time Role)
Have a love of education and wine? Our WSET Level 4 Diploma program is growing! Napa Valley Wine Academy is seeking a current Diploma student or graduate to fill a part-time position as Diploma Advisor.
We’re looking for a proactive and empathetic individual who will report to our Diploma Manager and help answer student questions about the Diploma program at NVWA. Questions topics range from scheduling, registration, study help, and textbook clarification to time-sensitive exam issues and difficult life situations impacting a student’s ability to progress through the program.
This position includes the following key responsibilities:
- Diploma student correspondence, advising, and administrative support, including live chats, email, and phone calls
- Active follow-up with current and prospective students to assist them with progressing through diploma units
- Exceptional customer service through written and verbal communications
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Current student or graduate of the Napa Valley Wine Academy’s WSET Level 4 Diploma program
- Familiarity with post-2019 Diploma education materials a big plus
- Positive attitude
- Proficient with, or willing to learn to use, software and communication tools that are chosen for use by the company. This may include Excel, PowerPoint, Dropbox, Google Suite, Slack, Airtable, Trello, etc. We can teach you to use a platform you are unfamiliar with, but you will need to be comfortable with using and learning new tech.
Working Environment
The ideal candidate will be available 1-2 hours per weekday from Monday to Friday, for up to 7 hours per week (or 28 hours per month). Weekly scheduling will be coordinated with the Diploma Manager. The pay rate will be $21-25/hour. This is a remote position, and the candidate will work from home on a flexible schedule, but hours will need to work around the U.S. Pacific time zone. While this position is initially part-time, it has the potential to become a full-time role.
