Cellar Worker

Job Description:

We are a luxury brand and high-end boutique Custom Crush facility located in the heart of the Napa Valley. We work with over 20 well respected winemakers and carry out the winemaking for 40 different brands. We are a growing company and are looking for someone to complement our current team to help us provide our clients with the best custom crush experience in Napa.

This position is for a full-time job of Cellar Wprker. This position reports to the Cellar Master and it’s main function is to perform any and all wine work that arises throughout the year.

Essential Functions:

As a Cellar Worker your primary tasks will include, but not be limited to the following:

Carry out cellar work such as topping, racking, filtering, bottling, additions, and more
Maintain clean and sanitized equipment while working safely
Maintain and service winemaking equipment as needed
Carry out tasks while using winery production software (Innovint) to log detailed information
Harvest duties may include: white and red operation, pumpovers, punchdowns, processing and more
Maintain safety, quality, and efficiency
Forklift operations
Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications/Requirements:

At least three years of winemaking production preferred
Ability to multi-task, work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on quality, accuracy and timeliness
Must be organized and have a strong attention to detail
Must be flexible and willing to adapt with enthusiasm
Must be able to read/write/speak English and bilingual in Spanish is preferred
Must be a critical thinker and good at problem solving
Valid California Driver’s License and clean DMV record required
Must be eligible to work in California
Must work with accuracy, alertness, and precision
Must be willing to work within a team to achieve a group goal
Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
Must be able to regularly lift at least 45 lbs.
Must be willing to take direction and ask questions when unclear of direction
Must be willing to work an abnormal schedule during Harvest season

Compensation is determined based on experience and will be hourly + benefits.

Start Date: as soon as possible.
